snow

I went to bed in May and woke up in December. Drew the blinds to find a winter wonderland outside the panes. The pine trees laden--though not unhappily, shaking their branches to sprinkle the lonely bicycler. This is a first. This whitewashed blanket of peace sent, perhaps, to cool a sickly world. A bit of topsy turvey to remind us that nothing every goes precisely according to plan.
Today I will wear warm sweaters and read books under covers. Today I will drink tea and pretend like Christmas is right around the corner. Today I will love the unexpected.

SNOW!? I woke up in a "california winter" the other day and wrote a poem about it. It sounds a lot like your entry-hehehe! It's so funny how we think alike sometimes. I'll send the poem later. Love you!
