This past weekend was our fall break, and a bunch of Westmont friends came up to visit. It was nice to have them all here—to see their faces and hear all of the news from school. It’s strange to feel so removed from that world. Strange in a good way.
I think I explored more of the city this weekend than I ever have before. We covered a lot of ground. We attended North Beach’s Italian heritage Festival and saw Frankie Vali, we also went to the Castro Street Fair and saw many other things—some of which we wish we hadn’t. All in all it was a great weekend—a good time to catch up with old friends and take a breather from the complication that is this semester.
